Bikers raise $3,000 for vets memorial

A group of motorcyclists known as the Rolling Thunder recently raised more than $3,000 for the Cumberland County Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Rolling Thunder is a nonprofit educational organization. Many group members are Vietnam veterans.

On Feb. 17, volunteers with the group cooked 12 hogs using seven cookers. They sold more than 600 meals and raised more than $3,000, according to a Rolling Thunder news release.
